LAHORE: The Pakistan Customs Central region collected Rs 8.564 billion as sales tax during the seven months of financial year 2015-16.
According to the detail, Lahore Appraisement collected Rs 3.077 billion; Lahore Preventive generated Rs 1.172 billion, while Multan Customs collected Rs 3.506 billion against target of Rs 2.158 billion registering increase of 62 percent.
Similarly Faisalabad Customs collected Rs 807 million against the target of Rs 237 million showing 240 percent increase.
Overall the central region collected Rs 8.564 billion registering 45 percent increase in sales tax collection as compared to same period of last financial year.
