Customs Central Region collects Rs 151 billion duty, taxes in FY2016-17

LAHORE: The Customs Central Region collected Rs 151 billion in all duty and taxes during financial year 2016-17.

As per details, the Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs 73,187 million while the Collectorate of Customs Preventive Lahore collected Rs 2,413 million during the year. On another note, the Collectorate of Multan Customs collected an amount of Rs 34,098 million during the period under review. In the same way, the Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs 11,571 million during the financial year 2016-17.

Overall, the Customs Central Region collected Rs 151 billion in all duty and taxes from all the four collectorates. Sources said that the Customs Central Region was able to collect Rs 151 billion due to team work of all the officials of the Central Region under the supervision of top management of the collectorate.
