Customs Central Region customs duty collection up 2pc

LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs36800 million customs duty during the first ten months of financial year 2016-17 (July-April) registering 2 percent growth against collection target of Rs36015 million during the period.

According to the details, Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs6987 million during the first ten month against assigned target of Rs20557 million during the period under review.

Similarly, Customs Preventive Lahore collected Rs6987 million customs duty during the ten month of financial year 2016-17 against target Rs7556 million during the period.

The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs6539 million during the period under review against the assigned target of Rs6446 million for the period.

In the same way, the Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs2284 million during the ten month of financial year against the assigned target of Rs1355 million during the period.

Overall the Central Region collected total customs duty from all the four Collectrates worth Rs36800 million against the assigned target of Rs36015 million during the period.

In order to achieve financial year targets chief collector office has instructed all the collectors of the four collectoratres to work hard to achieve the targets given by the FBR.
