Customs collectorates, directorates finalize list to reward employees for exceptional performance

KARACHI: The field formation Collectorates and directorates, customs have almost finalized the list of reward winning employees/officials and will send those lists to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) headquarters by the advent of next week.

Sources informed Customs Today that the Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-West, Appraisement-East, Preventive, Exports, Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, Collectorate of Customs Adjudication I-II, Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (FBR), Directorate General of Reforms and Automation, Directorate General of Transit Trade, Directorate General of Customs Valuation have already finalized the reward lists of their employees for sanctioning yearly bonus for the federal employees.

The FBR would sanction the reward of those Pakistan Customs employees in the July after the fiscal year 2014-15.

The sources informed that most of the officials including appraisers, Upper Divisional Clerks (UDCs) and Lower Divisional Clerks (LDCs) are not happy in the process of preparing reward lists at collectorate and directorate levels as their names were not included in the reward lists made by the authorities concerned of the respective directorates and collectorates.

They were of the view that the nepotism and favoritism are kept in front in preparing reward lists at some collectorates and directorates as the names of those officials are included in the reward lists those are even not attended the offices in routine.
