Customs collects Rs236.46m during first 15 days of Dec

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad collected Rs236.46 million during fist 15 days (1st to 15th) of December of financial year under head of customs duty.

According to details told by Collector Dr. Arslan Subactageen that the Collectorate surpassed the assigned target for first 15 days with achievement of 117% adding that MCC was assigned target of Rs210 million for first 15 days under head of, while the MCC collected Rs158.11 million during same period in financial year 2015-16 under head of Customs duty.

He said that Collectorate collected revenue of Rs.293.52 million under head of sales tax against the assigned target of Rs.191.03 million for first 15 day of current month adding that the Collectorate was assigned target for same period during last financial year 2015-16 amounting Rs.193.95 million under head of ST.

He said that MCC have surpassed its all duty taxes target amounting Rs.656.98 million against the assigned target of all duty taxes amounting Rs.563.16 million adding that MCC was collected revenue during same period of financial year 2015-16 amounting Rs.455.99 millions under head of all duty taxes.

Collector Arsalan said that Model Customs Collectorate is using all avaiable resources to recover outstanding amount from defaulters.
