SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department Gujranwala division team raided various cigarette shops and confiscated smuggled cigarettes worth Rs 100,000.
Sources told Customs Today that the customs authorities received information that some shops are openly selling non-duty paid and smuggled cigarettes.
A customs team was formed under the supervision of Superintendent Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department Gujranwala division Muhammad Anwar which raided various shops and confiscated smuggled cigarettes of Pine, Dunhill, More brands etc worth Rs 100.000.
The team issued them warning notice and also summoned them in the office for hearing.
