Gujranwala FIA arrests five human traffickers

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested five human traffickers-cum-proclaimed offenders during different raids.

FIA Deputy Director Khalid Anees formed two teams under the supervision of inspector Waqar Awan and Inspector Sajjad Bajwa. The officials raided Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowala and Hafizabad.

Officials told Customs Today that teams nabbed human traffickers named Ghulam Rasool, Ansar Shah, Amjad, Numan and Rashid. The suspects were involved in human trafficking since long. The accused sent many people abroad including, Japan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Jordan, Iraq, Greece and Russia. During the investigation, the teams recovered a huge amount of fake visas, documents and letter pads of sever embassies from the suspects. The teams seized the items and registered cases against accused.
