Customs court accepts interim challan in 9mm pistols, guns smuggling case

KARACHI: Customs Court accepted interim charge-sheet against suspects Shah Nawaz, Muhammad Bilal, Suleman Khan, Noor Muhammad, Norooz Khan and Muhammad Usman, who were booked in a case of smuggling 9mm pistol and guns etc.

On November 26, 2018, investigation officer of Pakistan Coast Guards submitted interim charge-sheet against the above-mentioned suspects and informed the court that during the search, a team of Pakistan Coast Guards intercepted a Daewoo coach bearing registration number LES-1720.

He submitted that during the search, the team found nine 9mm pistols, eight guns, 33 pistols, 6200 rounds, 49 magazines and etc and during the search, accused were asked to produce lawful documents, which they failed to produce; therefore, after the formalities, goods were seized and suspects were taken into custody and first information report was registered against them.

He stated that case was registered against them for violation of under Section 2 (s) 16, Section (1) (8) (89) and Section 157 of Customs Act, 1969. After the hearing, court accepted interim charge sheet and case was fixed for regular hearing.
