Both accused were supplying these mobile phones to some traders of Hall Road which is the largest mobile phone market of Punjab.

The customs intelligence team intercepted them and recovered a huge number of 324 mobile phones of different brands from them. The worth of the recovered mobile phones is more than Rs06million in the local market. By smuggling these cell-phones, accused caused the national kitty a huge loss of duty and taxes.

It may be remembered that the customs investigation team had presented them before the court of Special Judge of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Shakeel Ahmad on Monday and got their physical remand for three days.

The customs court has now handed them over to the customs investigation team for further investigation.

As per details, they were trying to supply those smuggled mobile phones to the Hall Road Market when they were apprehended by the authorities. During the search of the luggage in their car, customs intelligence found mobile phones that they were trying to smuggle. The customs had registered a case against the accused under Pakistan Customs Act-1969.
