LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved physical remand of the suspects who were arrested by the Customs authorities at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
According to details available to Customs Today, Jahangir and Muhammad Tariq was coming from Bangkok while they were booked by the Customs airport authorities. During checking of their luggage, the Customs team seized auto parts of precious vehicles worth more than Rs 1 million.
The Customs authorities registered a case against suspects under Pakistan Customs Act and produced them before the court and asked for their physical remand. The customs court after hearing the arguments approved a three-day physical remand of the accused and handed them over to the Customs investigation and prosecution team.
The Customs Court also directed the authorities to complete their investigation challan.
