MULTAN: The Multan Customs has taken a five-day physical remand of the arrested smuggler and the customs employee from Customs Court in the mobile smuggling attempt.
The customs authorities presented the mobile smuggler Muhammad Rizwan arrested from Rahim Yar Khan airport in the court of customs special judge for hearing. The special judge customs have extended the physical remand of accused Muhammad Rizwan for five days on the request of Multan Customs for further interrogation in the smuggling of Rs10.5 million cell phones.
Multan Customs have also obtained the five days physical remand of ASO constable Muhammad Aleem Akhtar on his involvement in the facilitation of allegedly mobile smuggling. They will be investigated further to probe their previous clearances from the Rahim Yar Khan airport.
