Customs Court extends judicial remand of alleged tyres smuggler

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved judicial remand of suspect who is allegedly involved in tyres smuggling case.

Sources told Customs Today that the Multan Customs Intelligence arrested accused Abdul Rehman who is a resident of Multan following the recovery of 200 allegedly smuggled tyres from his warehouse. The tyres for trucks, cars and buses worth Rs 3 million were recovered during the raid, as these were allegedly brought into country without payment of duty and taxes.
