LAHORE: Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Judge Chaudhary Ameer Muhammad Khan approved further 14 days judicial remand of suspect Shahnawaz allegedly involved in tyres smuggling case.
According to the details, Shahnawaz was booked by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation from Bund Road area of Lahore following the charges of tyres smuggling involving millions of rupees taxes and duties.
The Customs investigation team after initial investigation presented him before the Customs Court where Judge Ameer Muhammad Khan sent him on physical remand for three days. After interrogation, the accused was sent on judicial remand that has been extended for further 14 days.
It may mention here that accomplices of the accused are released on bail.
