LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling extended the judicial remand of two suspects, Allah Ditta and Abbas Ali, involved in liquor smuggling from India into Pakistan.
As per details, the Pakistan Rangers Punjab arrested two people when they were attempting to smuggle alcohol into the country near Wagah Border. The Rangers also recovered 50 bottles of liquor from their possession.
The officials arrested them after a short skirmish as the accused person opened fire when the Ranger approached them to arrest.
Earlier, both accused were on judicial remand for 14-day, which now have been extended for more 14 days for investigations.
