Customs Court grants bail to accused involved in smuggling

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved bail plea of Saeedul Haq, who is allegedly involved in smuggling of foreign origin cloths.

Sources told Customs Today that the suspect was arrested by the Customs Intelligence Gujranwala and it recovered a huge quantity of smuggled goods from a truck which was being unloaded at his warehouse in the city.

The Special Federal Court of Customs, Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved his bail plea and asked the investigation team to complete their prosecution soon.

Earlier, the Customs intelligence recovered clothes, shoes and other items from a truck bearing registration number IDT 3267. Sources told Customs Today that recovered items were smuggled from Afghanistan through Balochistan.
