LAHORE: The Special Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Court granted bail to the three accused of mis-declaration case.

According to details, accused Fazal Abbas agent Muhammad Slam and Faizan Abbas had tried to clear the imported consignment by mis-declaring the items through Model Customs Collectorate Faisalabad by evading duty/taxes amounting to Rs3.8 billion.

The importer had declared the consignment, imported from China, contrary to the filed goods declaration on which customs intelligence seized the items and arrested the alleged fraudsters.

After investigation authorities concerned presented the accused before the court where special judge after hearing the arguments granted the bail to arrestees and directed the officials to present the complete challan in next hearing.

According to Customs Prosecutor Raza Mahar, allegations leveled against the accused are bailable due to which court has granted bail to them.
