Customs Court hears 14 cases on Wednesday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 14 cases on Wednesday and issued necessary orders, besides sending a suspect on judicial remand.

As per details, 14 cases of different types, including pre-arrest bail pleas moved by Muhammad Irshad Butt, Insar Ahmad, Zia Mustafa, Raza Mustafa and Shahrooz were scheduled for the day, which have been adjourned until the next hearing.

The court also adjourned bail plea of Dolat Ali who is already on judicial remand until the next hearing. The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day.

Customs Court also proceeded on cases of Naseer Khan, Akramul Din and Khalil Abdul Rehman for their attendance in the court in different allegation and cases. Customs Court also recorded statements in three different cases of smuggling of narcotics.
