LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 16 important cases on Friday including pre-arrest bail pleas as well.
After hearing arguments the court adjourned the bail pleas of accused persons until next hearing.
Cases which were scheduled for Friday’s hearing include tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. Cases of pre arrest bail pleas were also scheduled in the Court for their pre-arrest bails. Court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on six different cases.
Cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day’s hearing. Cases of smuggling were also a part of the day’s schedule in which court recorded the statements of the parties.
In some cases Customs court recorded witnesses statements and issued necessary directions.
