LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 17 cases, which were scheduled for hearing on Saturday.
The special court adjourned many cases, including hearing of bail pleas of three suspects. The court postponed pre-arrest bail pleas of Muhammad Asghar and Asghar Ali in tax evasion cases.
In another important case against Haseeb Waqas Sugar Mills, the Customs Court adjourned the pre-arrest bail pleas of Mian Haseeb Waqas and his brother. The directors of sugar mills had allegedly involved in duty/taxes evasion on the import of machinery. The cases from Lahore, Sialkot, Multan, Jhelum and Gujranwala were scheduled for the day.
