Customs Court hears 17 cases on Wednesday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 17 important cases and issued necessary orders and directions in a number of cases.

On Wednesday, 17 cases of different types were scheduled for hearing, including 4 post arrest bail pleas of accused persons namely Khuram Shahzad and Abdul Sabur. Customs Court has adjourned both pleas for next week.

A case against Iqbal Dastgir was also scheduled for hearing in which accused who is on bail was present before the court. Customs Court heard the arguments from customs prosecution and accused party.

Customs Court also adjourned various cases of smuggling narcotics in which a case against Faheem Babar was also included that is rescheduled for new date.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were also scheduled for the day. The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on four different cases on the day.
