Customs Court hears 18 cases on Saturday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 18 different cases which were scheduled for hearing, including pre-arrest bail pleas and recording of statements of the witnesses.

The court adjourned many cases, including the hearing of bail pleas of three suspects until the next date. The Customs Court adjourned pre-arrest bail pleas of Muhammad Ahmad and Muhammad Asim. Both were wanted in tax evasion cases in Gujranwala and Faisalabad.

The cases scheduled for hearing on Monday (today) included tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. A case of narcotics against Haroon Baig was also adjourned. The court also proceeded on statements of witnesses on three different cases on the day.

The cases, including those of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day’s hearing.
