Customs Court hears 19 cases on Thursday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling on Thursday heard 19 different cases, including pre-arrest bail pleas filed by suspects.

Most of the cases were adjourned without any proceedings as the parties and lawyers concerned did not appear in the court.

Hearing of pre-arrest bail pleas filed by Abid Hussain, Naveed Hussain andSaif ul rehman were adjourned for new dates.

Post-arrest bail plea of Shahzad Masih in a case of drug smuggling was also scheduled for the day, which now has been adjourned for next week.

The cases of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics were scheduled for the day.
