Customs Court hears 21 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: In the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling, different cases were scheduled for hearing on Tuesday.

The Special Court accepted the bail plea of Sheikh Iqbal, allegedly involved in a case of tax evasion. The court approved his bail plea against cash guarantee and surety bonds which was deposited in the court.

The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 21 important cases and adjourned bail pleas of Shehroz, Siraj Khan and Muzammal. The court also proceeded on post arrest bail pleas and framing of crime on two cases.

The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for hearing in which Court ordered prosecution teams to complete investigation challans of the cases as soon as possible.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day.   The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses in four different cases.
