Customs Court hears 25 cases, accept bail pleas from two suspected traffickers

LAHORE: A special court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 25 important cases on Friday and issued necessary directions as well.

On day in special court of Customs taxation and Anti-smuggling there were 25 cases including tax evasion, Customs, smuggling and narcotics were scheduled for the day. Cases of smuggling were also a part of the day’s schedule in which court recorded the statements of the parties. In some cases Customs court recorded witnesses and issued necessary directions.

In a case of smuggling Customs court also accepted bails of two accused. Accused Rafaqat Ali and Mr Rehan Zaidi were involved in smuggling. Customs court accepted their bails against their cash guarantees.

A famous case of mis-daclaration of Faisalabad customs was also in Friday schedule in which Rana Ghazanfar Ali who is in allegedly involved in tax evasion and mis-declaration presented relevant documents to the court that they have paid their duty.

Cases of Sambrial Sialkot, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Lahore were heard in Monday in the court.
