LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 25 important cases on Tuesday and issued necessary orders and directions in a number of cases.
On Tuesday, 14 cases of different types were scheduled for hearing, including five pre-arrest bail pleas of accused persons, including Safdar Iqbal, Muhammad Aslam and Asghar Ali. After hearing the arguments of different parties, the court issued orders on bail pleas and disposes of a number of pleas while adjourned others for new dates.
Customs Court also adjourned eight cases of smuggling. The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were also scheduled for the day.
The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on four different cases on the day.
