LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 26 important cases on Monday, including those of pre-arrest bail pleas.
After hearing the bail pleas of two accused, the Customs Court adjourned their pleas for further hearings until the next given dates.
The cases that were scheduled for hearing included those of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. Cases of pre-arrest bail pleas were also scheduled in the Customs Court.
The court also proceeded on statements of parties and witnesses in four different cases. Cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day.
Cases of smuggling were also part of the day’s schedule in which the court recorded the statements of the parties. In some cases, the Customs Court recorded the statements of witnesses and issued necessary directives.
