LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling resumed proceedings in 26 cases on Wednesday.
The Special Federal Court adjourned many cases until the next given dates and issued necessary directives to the parties as well.
During court proceedings, Judge Special Court Nazeer Ahmad Gajana recorded the statements of accused persons, while the court also heard pre-arrest bail pleas of the accused involved in smuggling.
A number of cases were adjourned because the relevant parties were not present in the court. The court also adjourned some cases because Customs Intelligence and Investigation could not present proper/complete challan of the cases.
The hearing of cases that have been adjourned until the next dates include those of smuggling, customs and taxation.
