Customs Court hears 27 cases on Thursday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 27 cases on Wednesday and issued necessary orders in this regard.
The cases of different types including two pre-arrest bail pleas of accused persons named Ameer Hamza and Muzammal Hussain were schedule for the day. After hearing the arguments, the court however has adjourned the bail pleas until next hearing.
The Customs Court also adjourned five cases of smuggling, besides post-arrest bail pleas of Muhammad Yosuf, Mizra Muhammad Ibrahim and Maqbool Bibi were also adjourned for next week. 11 cases of attendance of different accused and guarantors were also adjourned for new dates.
The cases, including tax evasion, customs and narcotics were also scheduled for the day. The court also preceded statements and witnesses on four different cases.
