Customs Court hears  28 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: The Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 28 important cases on Tuesday, including pre-arrest bail pleas.

The cases, including those of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day’s hearing. Cases of pre-arrest bail pleas were also scheduled for the day’s hearing.  The court also proceeded with recording statements and hearing witnesses in six different cases.

Many lawyers and parties were absent from the court on Tuesday due to heavy rain in Lahore.

Cases of smuggling were also part of the day’s schedule, in which the court recorded the statements of the parties. In some cases, the Customs Court recorded statements of the witnesses and issued necessary directives.
