Customs Court hears 28 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: In the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling, different cases were scheduled for hearing on Tuesday.

The Special Court accepted the bail plea of Shabir Hussain, allegedly involved in a smuggling case. The court approved his bail against cash guarantee which was deposited in the court.

The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 28 important cases and adjourned bail pleas of Muhammad Afzal, Khalid Butt, Muhammad Asif, Kashif Zia, Saiful Rehman, Shaukat Ali, Maqsood Ali and Faisal Khalid.

The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for hearing in which Court ordered prosecution teams to complete investigation challans of the cases as soon as possible.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day.  The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses in four different cases.
