Customs Court hears 31 cases on Wednesday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 31 important cases on Wednesday and issued necessary orders and directions in number of cases.

On Wednesday, 31 cases of different types were scheduled for hearing, including 3 pre-arrest bail pleas of Ali Malik, Muhammad Azam, and Muhammad Aslam.

After hearing the arguments of different parties, the court issued orders on bail pleas and disposed of a number of pleas while some adjourned for new dates.

Customs Court also adjourned many cases of smuggling for next month as vacations are being started in Customs Court from tomorrow. The total cases of such kind were five which were scheduled for today.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were also scheduled for the day.

The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on six different cases on the day.
