Customs Court hears 7 cases on Monday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard seven cases, which were scheduled for hearing on Monday.

The Special Federal Court of Customs extended pre-arrest bail pleas of Muhammad Ayub and Rehmatullah in different cases. Accused Muhammd Ayub was wanted in a case of smuggling. He moved the court for his pre arrest bail but the same was extended for new date. Meanwhile, another accused Rehmatullah was wanted in tax evasion case and he also moved for his pre-arrest bail. The Customs Court has adjourned his plea for Friday this week.

Customs Court also extended the post arrest bail plea of an accused Nasir Saeed in sales tax evasion case.

The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for hearing in customs court on Monday.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day.
