Faisalabad RTO Zone-III collects Rs 39.75m in two weeks

FAISALABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office (RTO) Zone-III collected Rs 39.75 million under the head of sales tax during the first two weeks of June, 2016.

As per details, its current collection stood at Rs 8.31 million, while it recovered Rs 31.44 million in wake of arrears during the said period, Zone-III Commissioner Aftab Alam said.

He added that unit-I of the zone has collected Rs 5.24 million, unit-II Rs 2.85 million, unit-III Rs 0.22 million. He further said that Rs 31.44 million, which were recovered in shape of arrears, has been collected by all units of the zone. He added that unit-I collected Rs 9.7 million, unit-II Rs 21.67 million and the unit-III collected Rs 70,000 during the said period.

Responding to a question, Commissioner Aftab Alam said that department was striving to collect taxes and outstanding amounts from the taxpayers in order to meet the assigned annual target by the end of running fiscal year.
