Customs Court hears nine cases on Wednesday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard nine cases on Wednesday and adjourned all for the next dates.

As per details, nine cases of different types, including post arrest bail plea moved by Muhammad Mumtaz Khan was also scheduled for the day, which was adjourned until the next hearing. The court also adjourned the indictment against the accused who is already on a judicial remand until the next hearing.

The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day. Court proceeded against a guarantor of the case in which the accused is on post arrest bail but he is regularly absent from the court even many notices.

Customs Court also proceeded on cases against Haseeb Waqas. Haseeb Waqas is allegedly involved in tax evasion. Cases of narcotics, tax evasion and smuggling were scheduled for the day that the court has proceeded and adjourned number of them for next week.
