Customs Court issues IO’s warrant

KARACHI: Special Judge Customs & Taxation Court Soofia Latif issued bailable warrant of the Investigation Officer (IO) for not appearing in the court.

The court issued the warrant because IO Khurram Saeed did not appear in the court on Thursday in a case pertaining to FIR No 1911/2014 registered by the Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation (I&I), FBR on June 27, 2014. According to the FIR, the case pertains to mis-declaration of electronics goods by accused Sheikh Abdul Wahid and his son Atayab Sheikh. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 22.
