Customs Court issues non-bailable warrant in Jeep smuggling case

KARACHI: The Custom Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi issued non-bail-able warrant against the absconding accused person namely Zulfqar Ali Kambho S/ O Jan Muhammad Kambho who was booked in a case of non-duty paid/ smuggle Wrangler Jeep.

During the hearing, investigation officer Syed Mohsin Ali appeard before the court and filed interim charge sheet which was accepted by the court and copies supplied to the accused.  After the hearing court issued non-bail-able warrant against the absconding accused Zulfqar Ali Kambho S / O Jan Muhammad Kambho shown in interim charge sheet.

According to the prosecution, on 09/08/2016, on an credible information staff of the anti-smuggling department traced out the Wranger Jeep registration no FB-4078 Model 1990 parked at M/s HSKB Showroom near Jan Mart Khalid Bin Walid Road, Karachi.

As per FIR, after fulfilment of all requirements, case was registered in violation of section 32, 32A, 79, 155 B, C, D and 192 of the customs act 1969 punishable under clauses 9, 14, 14/A, 86, 156 (i) ibid.
