During investigation it was found that the vehicle was smuggled from Afghanistan. A Pakistan Customs team arrested driver Khayal Zaman but the owner of the car could not be arrested. The case was sent to the special judge for proceeding.

During the hearing, Khayal Zaman pleaded guilty just before indictment.

Since it was established that Khayal Zaman was not the owner of the smuggled vehicle and that he had a clean criminal record, and also keeping in view that he had pleaded guilty, the court showed lenience and ordered just a weeklong imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000.

Khayal had already spent a week in jail, so he was set free upon payment of Rs 20,000 fine under the CRCP Section 382-B.
