According to the prosecution, in February 2011 the Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation had lodged the FIRs against the importers, the clearing agents and the customs officials for their alleged involvement in clearance of miscellaneous dutiable items through mis-declaration of description, quantity and value to evade customs duty and other taxes.

The consignments were declared to contain adult diapers, citrus juicers, earth moving machinery parts / liner kits, diesel engine replacement parts / oil pumps, and other items.

Therefore, they evaded around Rs12 million in duty and taxes.

These consignments were imported by Musani Enterprises, AMR Enterprises, Rehman Impex, MS Enterprise, FA Enterprise, Farhaj Enterprises, JR International, Jessani Steel, Zorain Enterprises, Sohajee Shaikhjee and Sons, MY Iqbal and Co., Zafar and Sons and AZ Enterprises. The two clearing agents involved are All World Private Limited and RS International.
