LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has rejected the post-arrest bail plea of an accused arrested in smuggling of Rs 22 million foreign currency case.
Earlier, the customs court sent him to jail of 14 days judicial remand on Monday after completion of physical remand of three days.
According to details, Sarfraz Ahmad was arrested in connection with Qaiser Iqbal who was booked from airport while making an attempt to smuggle a huge amount of foreign currency from Pakistan to a Gulf state.
A case under section 156, (1), (68), (70), 157, 178 of Pakistan Customs Act 1969 was registered against him.
