Customs Court seeks complete challan of suspects involved in mobile phone smuggling

KARACHI: Customs Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi has directed the investigation officer to arrest and submit a challan of the suspects who are allegedly involved in the smuggling of mobile phones worth Rs 36.9 million.

During the hearing, the investigation officer produced a copy of the first information report (FIR) in the court according to which a huge quantity of smuggled and non-duty paid mobile phones were dumped in the Hub area. He said that a customs team intercepted a Toyota Hilux surf jeep bearing registration number BF-8147 in the Hub area. However, the diver escaped.
