Customs Court seeks final challan against suspects involved in diesel smuggling case

KARACHI: Customs Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi has directed the investigation officer to submit final challan of suspects, Muhammad Sudheer, Maqsood and Luqman, in a case pertaining to the smuggling of 60,000 liters High Speed Diesel oil valuing Rs 6,000,000. The Customs Court also fixed the case for hearing at Hyderabad.

According to the prosecution, on an credible information, officials of the customs authorities established a check post at Toll Plaza, Super Highway, Hyderabad for intercepting the said oil tanker which was signalled to stop. When the tanker was stopped, a man who was driving was asked to introduce himself, he introduced himself as Muhammad Sudheer son of Syed Muhammad (driver), the second person introduced himself as Maqsood son of Rahim Bux (co-driver) and third person introduced himself as Muhammad Luqman son of Muhammad Shafi (cleaner).
