LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has sought interim challan against a suspect involved in smuggling of alcohol from India through international border.
Accused Yar Muhammad was arrested by the security forces from border while making attempt to smuggle Indian alcohol into Pakistan.
Rangers’ mobile team was patrolling across the border while they noticed some suspicious activity on international border and intercepted a smuggler who started retaliation with mobile team. During retaliation one smuggler fled away from the spot and the other was arrested. The authorities recovered hundred bottles of alcohol from him. Earlier, the court had approved the bail of the smuggler.
