LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has sent an accused to jail on judicial remand for 14 days.
Earlier, the accused was on a physical remand for three days and was in the custody of customs for investigation.

The worth of the recovered cloths is Rs6.6million. He caused the national treasury a big loss in the wake of taxes and duties. He has been involved in smuggling for long time.
The customs investigation team had presented him before the customs court and asked for his physical remand to dig out a network behind this smuggling mafia. A three-day remand was approved by the court which is now extended for one day.
After the completion of a 14-day judicial remand, he will be presented before the court for further proceeding.
The Pakistan customs has registered a case against him under the Pakistan Customs Act-1969.
