KARACHI: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has remanded an alleged currency smuggler into the custody of Pakistan Customs for interrogation.
Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi granted 10-day physical remand of the suspect following the request of the customs officer.
According to the details, the customs authorities had arrested Muhammad Zahid from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi for allegedly trying to smuggle 143,000 Dirham from Karachi to Dubai. Subsequently, an FIR was registered against him under the customs anti-smuggling laws.
