LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has sent an alleged cell phone smuggler to jail on judicial remand.
According to the details, an accused, Tariq Kazmi, was arrested by the Customs Appraisement at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore when he was coming back from a Gulf state following the recovery of 70 pieces of cell phones of different brands, including iphone, Samsung and Nokia from his luggage.
The authorities of Lahore Customs presented him before the court where the accused was sent on judicial remand.
On Tuesday, he was produced before Special Judge Chaudhary Ameer Muhammad Khan who has extended his judicial remand for 14 days.
