Customs Court sends cell phones’ smuggler on physical remand

ISLAMABAD: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has sent two suspects of cell phones smuggling named Ubaidullah and Abdul Qadoos on judicial remand by rejecting the customs request of physical remand for interrogation.

The accused persons, who were arrested on Thursday by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation, during interrogation, revealed that they are Afghan refugees. While the customs officials have also recovered the cards issued to Afghan refugees by the government. An accused, Ubaidullah, lives in Peshawar, while Abdul Qadoos lives in Chakwal.
