Customs Court to conduct hearing of 25 customs, income tax related cases today

KARACHI: Custom Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi on Monday (today) will take up more than 25 customs and income tax related cases.

According to the cause list, regular hearing, prosecution evidences and confirmation of bail applications were included in these cases. However, on Saturday, the Special Judge Customs and Anti-Smuggling Karachi Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi has taken up more than 20 cases.

During the hearing, in all most cases, counsel for the defence (accused/applicants), counsel for the customs and income tax department including special public prosecutors argued in their cases, after the arguments court directed the lawyers to file rejoinder and adjourned the hearing after given next date of hearing.

Custom court has issued notices and non-bail able warrants against those accused persons who were absent during the hearing.

The custom court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi has also directed the investigation officers to be produced these absconding/ proclaimed offenders accused persons on next date of hearing.
