Customs earns Rs 2.5 million through seized goods‏’ auction

MULTAN: Anti-smuggling Organization earned Rs 2.5 million from the auction of seized vehicles and various goods here on Thursday.

According to details, a seized sports car Celica of model 2002 was auctioned at the price of Rs 700,000 and Toyota Vitz model 2008 was also successfully auctioned in the public sale at Multan Dry Port Sher Shah Multan.

During the auction, smuggled blankets, pullovers, auto spare parts and few other items were also auctioned at attractive prices. The auction of the seized goods by the Anti-Smuggling Organization was carried out by the Muhammad Akram in the supervision of Deputy Collector Dr Muhammad Ali Malik along with Appraiser Syed Ashraf Shah .

Only four vehicles were presented for auction out of which two were rejected due to fewer bids in the auction.
