Multan Customs earns Rs 6.012m through auction of vehicles, goods‏

MULTAN: The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has generated Rs 6.012 million through the auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous items.

The Multan Customs has presented six confiscated vehicles in the auction for public sale. About four smuggled vehicles have so far been auctioned during the public sale .The auction was held at the Model of Customs Collectorate Multan office and a large number of people participated in the auction. One of the seized Toyota Mark-X was the highest auctioned vehicle in the auction with price of Rs 1.610 million. One Suzuki Sierra jeep and Toyota Hilux Surf were not auctioned due to fewer bids from the participants than the usual price of the vehicle. All four auctioned vehicles were sold out in Rs 3.42 million during the open sale.

Different miscellaneous goods includes were also presented in the auction from the Model of Customs Collectorate Multan, including clutch plates, used tyres of different brands and sizes. Almost 1,149 packs of imported beauty cream for fairness will be available for public in the open sale. There were few electronics products like old and used compressors, electric iron, used DVD players, various digital satellite receiver HD, digital video broadcasting and Sony digital HD video camera recorder.

Two different lots of smuggled furnace oil and clutch plates were rejected in the process of auction due to fewer bids offered from public in the auction.

Almost Rs 1 million have been generated from the auction of huge quantities of ceramic tiles in more than 1,300 boxes during the auction. The auction was held in the supervision of Assistant Collector Faizan Badar at the MCC Multan office.
