Customs earns Rs59.09m surplus Customs Duty during January

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) generated surplus amount of Rs59.09million Customs Duty against the assigned target during January FY2016-17. The Islamabad Customs Collectorate is assigning high revenue collection targets of CD as compared to yester months (July to December FY16-17).

According to details told by Collector MCC Dr. Arslan Sebectgeen that collectorate surpassed the allocated target for January FY16-17 with the collection of 112% adding the collectorate was given the target of Rs479million CD for above said month whereas the collectorate earned Rs538.09million Customs Duty (CD)

Collector Arslan said the collectorate received Rs110.75million more CD than the earmarked Rs427.34million during the same corresponding period of FY2015-16. He added that the Islamabad collectorate has been surpassing the CD targets for the the last seven months (July to January FY2016-17) except July FY2016-17.

He told Customs Today that during the month of December FY2016-17, the collectorate generated Rs21.66million more revenue against the allocated CD target adding that the collectorate got Rs486.66million against the allocated target of Rs465.00million Customs Duty (CD).

The collector MCC Islamabad said that during November FY2016-17, the collectorate collected Rs0.81million more Customs Duty (CD). He further said that during said period, the collectorate got Rs436.81million against the assigned target of Rs436.00million.

Dr. Arslan said that during the month of October FY16-17, the collectorate exceeded the CD target with surplus amount of Rs4.57million whereas during said period, the collectorate generated Rs411.57million against the allocated target of Rs407.00million CD.
